Security Control

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Security Control handles the personal data you share with us through this website. Discretion is central to our work, and that includes the information you give us.

Who we are

Security Control is responsible for the personal data described in this policy (the "controller" under the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR). If you have a question about privacy, please email info@securitycontrol.nl.

What data we collect

Contact form. When you use the contact form on our Contact page, we receive:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • the service your message is about
  • a subject, if you add one
  • your message

Please share only what is needed for a first contact. Do not include names of protected persons, exact travel information or security procedures in the form.

Website statistics. If we measure how the website is used, for example which pages are visited, we do so only with a statistics tool that runs on this website itself. This data stays on the website's own server and is not shared with analytics or advertising companies.

Social media. Security Control has no social media channels, so we collect no data through social media.

How we use your data

We use the data from the contact form only to answer your enquiry and for any follow-up communication about it. We do not use it for marketing or remarketing. We never sell it, and we never share it with third parties for their own purposes. The same applies to messages you send us directly by email.

Legal basis

We process the data from the contact form because you ask us to respond to you (steps taken at your request, before any agreement is made) and because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries and following them up.

Cookies

We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. The website may use functional cookies that it needs to work, for example to remember your language choice.

How long we keep your data

We keep the data from the contact form no longer than we need it to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. After that, we delete it. Copies can remain in the website's backups for a limited time, until those backups are replaced in the normal backup cycle.

How we protect your data

Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to the Security Control team and kept in the website's database. They are stored securely. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access.

Who processes data for us

The website and its backups are kept on the servers of our hosting provider, and messages reach us through an email provider. These providers process personal data only on our behalf and under a data processing agreement.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have incorrect data corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • have the processing of your data restricted
  • object to the processing of your data
  • receive your data in a commonly used format, or have it passed to another party (data portability)
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we process data on the basis of your consent

To use any of these rights, please email info@securitycontrol.nl.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the website changes. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
